    Paper diary

    I had a really great news. It will be delivered to me by middle of April. But it will be hand-made, so it’s not going be ridiculous amount of number. I am thinking about around 20~30 diaries. But I will definitely decide when I get the specific price. Anyway, I feel great that everything is going well!




    User Testing

    Because my project has two different media, I would also need two different user tests. My target audience is a person who is in 20’s, especially female student or carrier woman. After fixing the error of the web version, I will invite 4~5 women and ask them to first be the user of the site and second be the reader of the site.
    After they use it for about 30 minutes, I’m going to give the survey sheets so that they can give me the feedback. It would have questions like the following.

  • As an owner, was it easy to submit your diary?
    Very easy              OK                 Confusing                 Hard
  • If your answer was “Confusing” or “Hard”, can you explain why and what could be better?
  • Did you add your own color & theme?
    Yes         No
  • If your answer was “Yes”, do you want to change the theme every time you upload your diary?
  • If your answer was “No”, is it because you didn’t know or you just wanted to use the existing one?
  • As a reader, did you enjoy reading the others’ diary?
  • If you own this, would you use two different media?
  • Is there anything you want to let me know?

    I wouldn’t change everything based on the survey but I am certain that the test will give the chance to find the mistakes that I couldn’t find. For the paper diary part, I will do the same user testing. However, I would ask more about the design and look. And the most importantly I would ask if they want to share the paper diaries on the Internet by uploading the snapshot of the page. It’s not the rule but they can erase the parts that they want to hide. But if the users think that it’s too much work, then I would leave it as optional.
