I think Felix’s work shows the artist’s emotion very well. Sunghun recommend him because Felix was using his personal story as the contents of his work. The amount of the candies were exactly same amount of weights of him and his lover. His work was showing the candies which were gradually consumed by the gallery’s visitors.
You can feel the sweetness and sadness at the same time. As Clay Shirky mentioned once, we as humans are always looking for the good story even though it may not be true. I want people who are visiting my website could feel the things that people who were visiting Gonzalez-Torres’s exhibition. People feel the emotions of the writers who submitted their stories to the website. People can worry together, come up with the solutions together and be happy together.
